Star Trek Mini Project

I had a few hours spare over the past week or so. I threw together this Star Trek fan film which takes the form of a fake advert for a position aboard the Enterprise-D. Functional 3D was done using Element 3D by VideoCoPilot. Meshes were obtained from trekmeshes.ch. Voiceover by Mariah Sinclair. This video is based on Star Trek franchise, copyright Paramount. Please see notice at the end of the video.

This was a great learning project, you can see the video below the screenshots below.

NOTE: You can support the restoration of the Enterprise D bridge here.

Zombie Advert | A Short(!) Film I Made

For fun and as a learning project, I created a short film based on the Zombie Mythology and gameplay mechanics from Activision’s World at War Zombie Mode.

I wrote, directed, lit, acted, focus pulled, filmed, composited, funded, acted, whatever the film myself. It was a fun way to spend a weekend. Sadly not my voice that you hear in the short film, however. Originally I had planned something much longer than this but sometimes it is best to cut your losses and move on. Total cost for the mini project was ~ £100 which isn’t bad!

Some screenshots and the short film itself are shown below.

Jarvis Park | My Upcoming Short Film

I recently wrapped production of my third short film this year, Jarvis Park – a loose spoof of one of my favourite movies. (Can you guess which one)? The film features characters and relationships established in two other short films I produced this year; both of which can be found on this site.

I wrote, directed, animated, edited and acted in this short along with others.

Paton Break Short Film | My Upcoming Short Film

I recently wrapped post production of my second short film this year; a pseudo animated action comedy about a prison break. The film is called Paton Break which is a play on the main character’s name.

Here are some screengrabs from the project. I wrote, directed, photographed, animated, edited and also acted in the film alongside others.

Sound is currently being mixed by Will Richards.

Milk Paton Short Film Screens | My Writing / Directing Debut

To launch my new website, here are some screen grabs from my writing & directing debut!

The film is one of three short action/comedy animated films featuring the same unique characters; this introduces the characters and their relationships to each other. The second in the trilogy deals with a prison break whilst the third deals with a Jurassic Park style scenario.

“Milk Paton” is currently being mixed by Will Richards (sound engineer). The film will be submitted to festivals in due course which I am very excited about!
