Security Camera TVC

I produced the 3D sequence shown in ~two days for an agency. I was pleased to hit the deadline. I used After Effects and Element3D, not Cinema4D or Octane.

I was given a clean plate of a brick wall and window and a 3D version of the security camera. The 3D asset was not useable and the base footage had challenging properties. Among other things, the plate was shot on an anamorphic lens which made matching (with Element) very difficult for me.

E3D enabled rapid look development, and I couldn’t have done this without it, but I did struggle with it’s limitations. The final animation and camera move have their shortcomings, including aliasing. In a completely ideal world, I would’ve done this in another program and refined the camera move, assets and materials.

With all that being said, I got this turned in and the TVC aired, so here it is.

Agency was Brave Spark.

Zalando 360 Scene | 360 VR Render (C4D & Octane)

A 360 experience is one in which the user can look around them in a rendered environment. I have contributed to the creation of several, and this is one of them. The breakdown demonstrates my 3D work in a more general sense.

I created (modelled, textured, lit) and rendered this outdoor 3D scene for use within a 360 / VR experience. I used Octane and Cinema4D. I am happy to provide 3D solutions to clients and agencies alike (I can work freelance or work in-house for larger projects like this). I use C4D & Octane for all of my work.

The designer on this job was Andrea Philippou (http://andyandsimon.co.uk/), and the agency I worked for and with was Brave Spark.

The render I created is used in an interactive 360/VR feature, which I believe is updated every year. It can be experienced on any device: a VR headset is not required. Interactivity, not shown, includes hotspots and embedded content. The scene shown in this breakdown video is slightly different to the scene given to the client, reflecting some personal preference.
